Serie A - Week 31: Sunday Review

Reggina 0-2 UdineseUdinese gave themselves a timely boost of confidence ahead of Thursday's UEFA Cup quarter-final second-leg decider against Werder Bremen as two late goals from Antonio Floro Flores earned them a 2-0 victory at bottom club Reggina.

REGGINA 0-2 UDINESE
Antonio Floro Flores scored twice in the last five minutes as Udinese downed Reggina 2-0 in Reggio di Calabria. The Amaranto, bottom of the Serie A standings and without a win since November, did their survival bid no favours as they had two players sent off and missed a penalty before Floro Flores made his mark on the game. Maurizio Lanzaro was the first player to see red after 55 minutes when he felled Floro Flores in the area, but Reggina looked to have got a slice of the luck they surely need to stay up when Maurizio Domizzi missed the ensuing spot-kick. Seven minutes later Antonio Barilla was given his marching orders before Franco Brienza missed a penalty that would have put them ahead with eight minutes left. Udinese went ahead shortly after through Floro Flores, before he added a second right at the end. Defeat for Reggina means they remain seven points from safety and, with just seven games remaining, a mountain to climb if they are to remain in the division.
