Juventus recovered from a goal down to defeat Serie A strugglers Bologna 4-1 and reduce Inter's lead at the top to four points on a day when Genoa boosted their hopes of a top-four finish.
JUVENTUS 4-1 BOLOGNA
Juventus came from behind to defeat Bologna 4-1 and keep the pressure on Serie A leaders Inter. Juve, especially in the second half, showed no signs of tiredness after their midweek Champions League exit to Chelsea as they set about keeping their hopes of winning the Scudetto alive. However, it was Massimo Mutarelli who put Bologna ahead after 24 minutes, but a dominant second-half display from the Bianconeri gave them all three points. Hasan Salihimidzic equalised after 49 minutes before Sebastian Giovinco put them ahead with 20 minutes remaining. A late brace from Alessandro Del Piero sealed a win which takes Juve just four points behind Inter.
CAGLIARI 0-1 GENOA
Genoa boosted their hopes of playing in the Champions League next season thanks to a 1-0 win at Cagliari to move above Fiorentina into fourth place in Serie A. An 85th-minute goal from Ruben Olivera, his second of the season, gave the Grifone all three points against 10-man Cagliari in Sardinia. Cagliari lost Andrea Cossu to a harsh red card after 39 minutes but held out until just five minutes from the end when Olivera punished them as Genoa's pressure finally paid off. The home side also had chances in the final 10 minutes, but remain stuck on 39 points.
