ROMA 2-0 SAMPDORIA
Brazilian striker Julio Baptista struck a goal in each half as Roma beat Sampdoria 2-0 in a match that was rescheduled from October. Luciano Spalletti's side were without Mirko Vucinic and Francesco Totti, but Baptista produced an impressive, match-winning performance to ensure the pair were not missed. He opened the scoring with a free-kick after 21 minutes and with the Giallorossi dominating possession after the interval, he notched his second of the night shortly before the hour mark. The result continues Roma's recovery from a horrible start to leave them just six points off fourth place.

The Week 9 game originally kicked off on Wednesday 29 October but was abandoned after just five minutes because of a storm in the Italian capital. As Italian rules state, the remaining 85 minutes was played today with the score at 0-0.
