Serie A - Week 16: Saturday Review

Napoli 3-0 LecceNapoli jumped into third position in Serie A after a comprehensive 3-0 win over Lecce while Bologna also moved up, escaping the relegation zone with a stunning 5-2 victory against Torino.

NAPOLI 3-0 LECCE
Napoli moved up to third in Serie A with a convincing victory over Lecce at the Stadio San Paolo. Marek Hamsik opened the scoring with a penalty after 11 minutes and Michele Pazienza, shortly before the break, and German Denis on the hour mark added further goals. The home side squandered a hatful of chances which could have taken them above Juventus into second place, but they never looked like dropping any points as they extended their unbeaten home record this season.

Bologna 5-2 TorinoBOLOGNA 5-2 TORINO
Bologna twice came from behind to record a thumping first Serie A win under new boss Sinisa Mihajlovic at the expense of Torino, who sacked Gianni De Biasi and re-appointed Walter Novellino as coach on Monday. Toro were twice ahead, first through Simone Barone and then a deflected effort from Ignazio Abate, but the hosts battled back. Marco Di Vaio bagged a second-half hat-trick with Sergio Volpi and Marco Bernacci also on target, the latter from the penalty spot. The visitors' miserable afternoon was compounded 10 minutes from time by the dismissal of Francesco Pratali for a professional foul.
