Serie B - Week 8: Rescheduled Matches

Bari 0-3 SassuoloTuesday 21 October
Bari 0-3 Sassuolo
Sassuolo returned to the top spot of Serie B by trouncing beleaguered Bari in this rescheduled clash. Erpen opened the scoring when he clipped a Zampagna assist past Gillet. The hosts briefly threatened and Bressan saved smartly from Galasso before ex-Atalanta man Zampagna made it 2-0 with a quick-witted back post finish. Bari had a goal disallowed when Donda dribbled the length of the pitch to feed Barreto, but he was offside. And Sassuolo rounded off a miserable afternoon for a worried Antonio Conte when Pagani blasted home following a mazy run. Barreto hit the bar from a free-kick and Erpen struck a post from an acute angle before a bizarre finish that saw Andreolli and Colombo dismissed for handballs.

Rimini 2-0 Brescia
Rimini registered their first win since September 7 in a match that had been postponed due to the number of Brescia players away on international duty. The turning point was on 22 minutes, when Viviano brought down Cipriani for an inevitable penalty and red card. Vantaggiato coolly converted the spot-kick and the home side took charge, going close through Ricchiuti and Sottil's header hitting the woodwork. In the second half Caracciolo brought a great save out of Pugliesi, but Vantaggiato completed his brace to secure the much-needed victory. Brescia boss Nedo Sonetti falls to his first defeat.
