Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi is a major doubt for the UEFA Cup first-round encounter with Benfica on 2 October after twisting a knee during his team's 3-2 first-leg success in Naples.
Lavezzi, who played the entire 90 minutes despite the injury, faces a race to be fit in time for the decider in Lisbon and is also expected to miss Napoli's Serie A games against Udinese, Palermo and Bologna.
The 23-year-old Argentinian scored eight goals in 35 league games last season, his first with the Partenopei since joining from Argentinian outfit San Lorenzo.
