Roma striker Mauro Esposito has moved to Serie A rivals Chievo on a season-long loan deal.
The switch comes after the striker only played eight times for Roma last term without finding the net.
Previously he had scored 58 times in 199 appearances over six seasons with Cagliari, earning him six caps for Italy between 2004 and 2006.
In a flurry of transfer activity, Chievo also announced the signing of defender Santiago Morero, who played for Argentine side Atletico Tigre last season, while Pablo Louro Granoche has been loaned out to Triestina.
The club, back in Serie A after a one-year absence, opened their top-flight campaign with a 2-1 win over Reggina on Sunday.
