Lazio have announced the double signing of right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner from Lille and Matuzalem from Real Zaragoza.
"The two new signings have joined the pre-season camp in Auronzo di Cadore today," a statement on the club's official website confirmed.
The 24-year-old defender Lichtsteiner has joined for an undisclosed fee after appearing in all three of Switzerland's matches at Euro 2008 and has reportedly signed a four-year deal.
The former Grasshopper player appeared 89 times in Ligue 1 during his three seasons in France, scoring five goals.
Brazilian midfielder Matuzalem, 28, makes a season-long loan switch and returns to Italy where he played for Napoli, Parma, Piacenza and Brescia before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in 2004.
He moved to Zaragoza last summer but a knee ligament injury limited him to 14 league games as his side suffered relegation.
