Sampdoria have signed midfielder Daniele Dessena from relegated Parma for a fee in the region of £3.2m.
The Italian Under-21 international has signed a four-year contract, ending a long association with Parma where he graduated from the youth academy.
Dessena made his Serie A debut for the Ducali aged 17, and went on to score five goals in 81 league appearances.
The 21-year old will represent Italy at the Olympic Games in Beijing next month before linking up with his new club, who will play in the UEFA Cup next season.
