After three seasons spent outside the Italian top flight, Bologna have continued rebuilding for their return to Serie A by paying Lazio a reported fee of €6m for Belgian international midfielder Gaby Mudingayi.
Capped eleven times, the 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract at Bologna.
Born in Kinshasa, Mudingayi arrived at Torino from Gent in 2004 and then switched to Lazio ahead of the 2005-06 season.
He went on to score once in 69 games at the Stadio Olimpico and will hope for a better return at Bologna, where he will link up with fellow summer signings Cristian Zenoni, Diego Rodriguez, Miguel Angel Britos, Coehlo, Sergio Volpi and Marco Bernacci.
