[Euro 2008] Azzurri arrive in Austria

Italy have arrived at their training base for the UEFA European Championships this afternoon after a short flight from Milan.

The World champions, who regathered on Sunday night after two days of rest following the friendly victory over Belgium on Friday night, are staying in Baden, a leafy spa town on the southern outskirts of Vienna, Austria.

Fans were waiting outside the Hotel Schloss Weikersdorf and welcomed the 23-man squad and the rest of the Italian delegation when the official bus arrived.

The Azzurri will hold their first training session on Austrian soil later today at the nearby Bundesstadion Sudstadt in Enzersdorf, and coach Roberto Donadoni will be speaking at a press conference.


Donadoni's side will play all three of their group games in Switzerland. They open Group C against the Netherlands in Bern next Monday, face Romania in Zurich four days later, then close out thr group against France on June 17.
