[Coppa Italia] Roma win through to familiar final

Coppa Italia holders Roma will meet Inter in the final for the fourth season in succession after drawing 1-1 at Catania to progress 2-1 on aggregate.

CATANIA 1-1 ROMA (Agg: 1-2)
Alberto Aquilani converted a penalty on 27 minutes to put Roma in full command of the semi-final second leg in Sicily following their 1-0 win in last month's opener. Cristian Silvestri headed in a free-kick for the hosts two minutes later but that was as good as it got as Roma generally controlled the game. The final will be played in the capital on Saturday 24 May.

Both teams fielded slightly weakened sides with Sunday's penultimate round of Serie A matches in mind. Roma, who host Atalanta, are three points behind Inter and could still win the title if their rivals slip up.

Walter Zenga's Catania are a point above the drop zone and will be striving to preserve their status by winning at Juventus at the weekend.
