Roma coach Luciano Spalletti is sweating on the fitness of captain Francesco Totti ahead of Saturday's Serie A clash at Cagliari.
Totti, who is Roma's top scorer with 13 league goals this season, is struggling with a right knee injury and is doubtful for this weekend's important encounter in Sardinia.
Spalletti cannot afford to rest Totti ahead of next Tuesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Manchester United as the Giallorossi are already without midfielders Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta and forward Mirko Vucinic for this weekend's game.
The trio are all serving one-match bans.
Roma go into the clash against relegation-threatened Cagliari looking to close the gap on Serie A leaders Inter. The Eternal City giants trail Inter by four points with eight games remaining.
Inter face a more challenging task as they travel to the Italian capital to meet Roma's city rivals Lazio later on Saturday night.
