Serie A Week 25: Tuesday Review

Juventus' ambitions of a second-place finish in Serie A suffered another setback when they drew 0-0 with city rivals Torino.

JUVENTUS 0-0 TORINO
Following Saturday's defeat at Reggina, Juventus went into the Derby della Mole four points adrift of second-placed Roma. However, Claudio Ranieri's side could only reduce that advantage by one at the Stadio Olimpico as they were held by the Granata. Juventus were frustrated on more than one occasion by goalkeeper Matteo Sereni, who denied Vincenzo Iaquinta in the first half, before later thwarting Alessandro Del Piero's free-kick after the break. Yet it was Torino who could have snatched victory when Alessandro Rosina struck the crossbar of Gianluigi Buffon's goal, also from a dead ball situation. The Bianconeri pushed for the three points but were frustrated again when Sereni saved Mauro Camoranesi's header with five minutes to go, before Pavel Nedved was dismissed in added time for pulling Gianluca Comotto's hair.
