[Mercato] Lucarelli set for Parma

Parma are waiting to seal a deal for Italian international Cristiano Lucarelli.

The former Livorno striker has failed to settle in Ukraine following his summer move to Shakthar Donetsk.

Now reports in Italy suggest that Lucarelli is on the brink of sealing a loan move back to his homeland.

Torino had looked favourites to bag the 32-year-old - but Parma are now in pole position are hoping to convince Shakthar to let him leave.

Indeed it is believed that Lucarelli is back in Ukraine trying to convince the club to let him return home as he fears his place in the Italian national squad may be in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Parma have allowed defender Giuseppe Cardone and forward Daniele Paponi to join Serie B side Cesena.
