[Mercato] Atalanta pick up Paolucci; round-up

Udinese striker Michele Paolucci has joined Serie A rivals Atalanta on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, part-owned by Juventus, has appeared only twice in Serie A this season, both times as a substitute, and will join up with his new team-mates on Saturday.

Atalanta, sixth in Serie A, play Reggina on Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere, Mallorca are closing in on a deal for Lazio defender Lionel Scaloni, who is due on the Balearic island on Friday to finalise the move and will be officially unveiled on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Argentinian international first arrived in Spain in 1997, joining Deportivo La Coruna with whom he won the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

Spells in England with West Ham United and back in Spain with Racing Santander preceded his switch to Lazio last June, for whom he started five UEFA Champions League matches.

Catania have signed Argentinian defender Pablo Sebastian Alvarez from Estudiantes de la Plata for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year contract.

The Sicilian club have also sent 21-year-old midfielder Cristian Ezequiel Llama on loan to Newell's Old Boys until the end of the season. Llama has only made one substitute appearance for the club.

Serie A's bottom club Cagliari have reached an agreement with Portuguese second division side Rio Ave to sign 20-year-old midfielder Vitor Gomes on loan until the end of the season, with the option for a permanent transfer.

The Portuguese youth international made 43 league appearances for Rio Ave since his debut last year.
