[Mercato] Almiron makes Monaco switch

Monaco have completed the loan signing of midfielder Sergio Bernardo Almiron from Juventus.

The 27-year-old Argentinian will spend the rest of the season at the principality club, who have the option of signing the player on a permanent basis at the end of his loan spell.

Almiron started his career at Newells Old Boys in his homeland, before he was signed by Udinese in 2001.

After a loan spell at Verona, Empoli bought 50% of the player's rights in the summer of 2004, buying him outright in 2006.

After 18 goals in 95 appearances, he was signed by Juventus in the summer of 2007 for nine million euros.
