Coppa Italia: QF, 2nd Leg (1)

Holders Roma are through to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia after another Mancini-inspired victory at home to Sampdoria.

The Brazilian winger scored on the hour mark following a mazy dribble reminiscent of his goal against Lyon in the Champions League last season. It was Mancini's second goal in four days following the winner he struck against Palermo in Serie A on Saturday and took the Giallorossi through 2-1 on aggregate.

Sampdoria had the best opportunity of the first half when Max Tonetto cleared Claudio Bellucci's header off the line one minute before the break.

Roma goalkeeper Doni, who came on for the injured Gianluca Curci, was saved again by a team-mate five minutes after the restart when Rodrigo Taddei blocked Sampd defender Hugo Armando Campagnaro's close range shot on the line.

The rest of the quarter-finals are played on Wednesday with Inter traveling to Juventus locked at 2-2, Udinese hold a 3-2 lead over Catania and Fiorentina trail Lazio 2-1.
