A meeting will be held in the Bulgarian capital Sofia on Tuesday to decide the schedule for the qualifying campaign of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
A delegation led by the FIGC President Giancarlo Abete and coach Roberto Donadoni will try to agree on a calendar with the reprasentatives of the Azzurri's Group 8 opponents - Bulgaria, Republic of Ireland, Cyprus, Georgia and Montenegro.
The teams have until Wednesday to reach an agreement on dates and the order of the fixtures, otherwise FIFA will intervene and a computer will be used to draw the fixtures.
The European qualifying campaign for the tournament in South Africa will begin in August and September.
