Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has revealed that he considered resigning last month following the death of his wife.
Prandelli's wife Manuela passed away after a long illness on November 26.
"For a moment back then, I thought about stepping down," Prandelli said.
"But the affection I have received and the sense of responsibility towards the club, the team and the city has made me rule out this thought.
"My relationship with the city of Florence and the fans is and will continue to be unbreakable and will remain in time."
