Roma captain Francesco Totti remains a major doubt for Wednesday's Rome derby against Lazio.
Totti suffered an ankle injury in last week's UEFA Champions League fixture against Sporting Lisbon and sat out Sunday's clash with AC Milan.
The midfielder went through some light training on Monday but was unable to run comfortably and pain-free.
He will be evaluated further by doctors and physiotherapists with the midweek game derby in mind.
Totti does not intend to miss the derby and a decision about his involvement will only be taken in the hours leading up to kick-off.
Meanwhile, Serie A leaders Inter have received a boost with the news that an ankle injury picked up by Dejan Stankovic at the weekend is not as serious as first feared.
The midfielder suffered a suspected broken ankle during Sunday's goalless draw at Palermo, but later tests showed the injury to be no more than a sprain.
The 29-year-old Serbia international is expected to be on the sidelines for no more than a few weeks.
