Adriano appeal rejected again

Adriano’s second appeal against a two-match ban for diving has been rejected this evening.

The striker was suspended using video evidence for his ‘simulation’ to earn a penalty in Inter’s 3-1 defeat to Roma last Wednesday evening.

An initial appeal was turned down and his club pledged to bring further legal action, but the CAF Court of Appeal has also upheld the Disciplinary Commission’s original verdict.

Having already missed the Scudetto-winning match at Siena’s Stadio Artemio Franchi, Adriano will now also be banned from Sunday’s party at the San Siro against Empoli.
