The Bianconeri celebrated their 109th anniversary with victory over Brescia.
Juventus celebrated their 109th birthday in style with a 2-0 win over Brescia at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.
The match was originally scheduled for October 8, but was then postponed after the Turin club asked the Lega Calcio to move the game because of international call-ups.
The Old Lady's eighth straight win of the season leaves them just three points behind Serie B leaders Genoa. Alex Del Piero, who celebrated his 200th club goal against Frosinone on Saturday, added two more in the first half to go past Gigi Riva’s 201 strikes with Cagliari.
The match was preceded by a celebration for the Bianconeri’s birthday. Over 20 stars from the past, including Pietro Anastasi, Claudio Gentile, Franco Causio, Giuseppe Furino, Stefano Tacconi and Michel Platini were all present at the game.
Former Juventus and Italy coach Marcello Lippi was also at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin as was Gianluca Pessotto, who made a surprise appearance after his horrific roof fall at the club’s headquarters in June.
The club also launched their own TV channel - Juventus Channel - today which is available on the Sky Italia platform.
