Moratti back as Inter President

Internazionale owner Massimo Moratti has been reappointed as the club's President today.

Moratti's first stint in the position lasted nine years from when the oil tycoon bought control of Inter in 1995 from previous owner Ernesto Pellegrini.

With the club struggling to win major honours, Moratti resigned in January 2004, with Inter legend Giacinto Facchetti taking over, although he did remain as owner.

However, following the sad death of Facchetti in September after a long battle against illness, Inter held a shareholders' meeting to elect his successor.

The board opted to name Moratti as President, while 14 other individuals were elected on to the club's board of directors, including Moratti’s two sons – Angelo and Giovanni.
