The Serie A and Serie B fixtures for the new season will finally be drawn up in Rome on Wednesday August 30.
The new Italian Football League chief Antonio Matarrese (pictured) confirmed the news this evening following a Lega Calcio meeting. The divisional calendars were delayed by the match-fixing scandal which also subsequently led to a postponement to the start of the season. The 2006-07 campaign was set to start on August 26/27, but will now kick off on the weekend of September 9/10.
